Fall Fraternity Recruitment Registration. 

Please review all of the information below.

  • Do not forget to attend the Mandatory Men's Recruitment Meeting on Sunday, August 30th @ 8:00pm in Callicutt Life Skills Theatre. If you do not attend this meeting, you will NOT be able to go through recruitment. 
  • Academic eligibility to join a chapter at High Point is as follows:
  • First semester students: A high school GPA of 2.75
  • Upperclass students: 12 High Point University credits and a 2.75 GPA
  • Transfer students: 12 credits and a 2.75 GPA from your previous institution
  • Please note: Summer Advantage, Advanced Placement and/or Dual Enrollment credits do not count towards eligibility.
  • Students must be carrying 12 High Point University credits to be eligible for recruitment. If a student falls below the 12 credit threshold prior to initiation, they will be deemed ineligible to continue with the new member education process.
  • Any students on Disciplinary Probation with the Office of Community Standards will be ineligible to go through IFC Recruitment
  • Individual chapters, national governing bodies and/or inter/national headquarters reserve the right to maintain higher GPA or credit requirements than university minimums. High Point University will not intercede in the exercising of these additional standards.
  • Please see below the information regarding Hazing Prevention Education. Completion of the courses is a requirement to participate in recruitment. You will not be allowed to participate in recruitment if the courses are not completed. No exceptions.  **Please note: There are THREE courses. If you have completed these in the past year, you do not have to complete the modules again.

2. Hazing Prevention: It’s Everyone’s Responsibility. The Fraternity & Sorority Life Module
3. Decisions: Alcohol & Other Drugs - Level 1

    • These programs must be completed before the mandatory meeting on August 30th. 
    • Hazing Prevention 101 is a one-hour awareness course educating students on how to recognize, prevent and report hazing. The real-life scenarios prepare students, group members and bystanders to make informed decisions, ultimately empowering them to prevent hazing.
    • The Fraternity & Sorority Life Module is an extension of the prerequisite courseHazing Prevention: It’s Everyone’s Responsibility 101™, designed for university students in fraternities and sororities. This 15-minute module dives deeper into the specific needs of fraternity and sorority life.
    • Decisions: Alcohol and Other Drugs - Level 1 allows incoming students to examine their motivations and expectations surrounding alcohol and drugs, the risks and dangers involved, and tips on how to make the best decision

Register to complete these courses at https://highpoint.prevent.zone/   Completion of the courses is a requirement to participate in recruitment. You will not be allowed to participate in recruitment if this course is not completed.
